Kim Kardashian has apologised for ‘offending’ fans after tweeting about the Israel-Hamas conflict.
As Hamas rocket squads aimed at Jerusalem for the first time on Friday, the reality TV star tried to weigh in on the matter, writing, ‘Praying for everyone in Israel’, and later, ‘Praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world!’, the Daily Mail reported.
Inundated with remarks from offended followers, the star backtracked and deleted the comments.
The 32-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star later issued a statement explaining the reason for her remarks, and why she decided to remove them.
In a post entitled A Message To You Guys, she wrote on her blog: “I want to own up to and explain that earlier today I sent out two tweets about saying prayers for the people in Palestine and Israel and after hearing from my followers, I decided to take down the tweets because I realised that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologise.”
