The “Our Village” Telethon 2012 by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has raised $21,422,477 in pledges for the charity to help rural communities in Armenia and Karabakh as well as thousands of ethnic Armenians in war-torn Syria.

This year’s total pledge is nearly twice as much as was raised at a similar telethon last year when Armenians around the world promised to provide more than $12 million for projects to improve water supply in Karabakh.

The 15th telethon traditionally held on Thanksgiving Day and aired from Los Angeles went for 12 hours nonstop and was available on cable and satellite TV, as well as online.
