Parliament by-elections: Arman Sahakyan taking lead in Shirak region

The preliminary results of the parliamentary by-elections in the Shirak region suggest that the owner of Shirak FC, Arman Sahakyan, is taking the lead with a vast majority of votes.
As of 10:25pm local time, 22 of the majority district’s 45 polling stations (40.3%) finished the vote count.Some 76.6% of voters in the above polling stations have cast their ballots in favor of Sahakyan, a member of the ruling Republican Party of Arfmenia. His challenger, Murad Grigoryan (Armenian Pan-National Movement) has garnered 18.6% of votes. So far, only 4.8% of the ballot-paper have been declared invalid.
