The French Development Agency (AFD) plans to carry out a number of projects in Armenia aimed at promoting development in the agricultural sector as well as in the mortgage market.

AFD is also expected to build a reservoir near the Armenian town of Vedi.

These projects were discussed by Armenia’s Vice-Premier, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan and AFD Chief Executive Officer Dov Zerah in Paris on Monday.

According to Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration, Zerah discussed with the Armenian official the latest visit of an AFD delegation to Yerevan. He reportedly expressed his readiness to promote further cooperation.

Gevorgyan, for his part, hailed the intentions of the agency, stressing that the sectors highlighted by AFD were of primary importance for the Armenian government.
