Food sub-products exports to Lebanon increase three times

The export of cuisine sub-products popular in Lebanese (variety meat) from Armenia has increased almost threefold as compared to 2011, reports Armenpress, citing the Armenian Governments’ State Revenue Committee.

A total of 11.9 tons of offal (except fish) with an aggregate customs value of $92,800 were exported to Lebanon in 2012 – as compared to 4.1 tons of this sub-product worth a total of $19,200 exported to this Middle Eastern country the previous year.

The spokesperson for the State Security Service on Food Safety at the Ministry of Agriculture Babken Pipoyan said that the sub-product’s export does not involve any difficulties. He said that transportation of such cargo is carried out on refrigerators, where the required temperature is kept.
