Yerevan Vote: Top pollster says post-election standoff adds no points to Heritage

A recent survey among residents of the Armenian capital has shown that the post-election activities of the official runner-up in the recent presidential elections will not influence the ratings of the candidates for Yerevan city council elections to be held in May.

The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), Armenian National Congress (ANC), Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF), Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law), Mission party, and Barev Yerevan bloc of several parties including Heritage are running in the May 5 municipal elections in Yerevan.

Some politicians and analysts believe that Raffi Hovannisian’s lasting post-election struggle has had the intention of also keeping as big an electorate as possible for the upcoming municipal elections.
