ANC mayoral candidate should not be allowed to assume the post again – Rule of Law party rep

Rule of law party candidate at the Yerevan City Council election Hovannes Shahinyan speaking to reporters today said that Armenian National Congress candidate Vahagn Khachatryan should not be allowed to assume the office of mayor again.

“When he was a mayor garages were being built in the yards of our houses. I was Arabkir county council MP that time. Our children were deprived of the opportunity to play in yards, our old people were deprived of opportunity to rest in our yards,” he said, adding that during those years the basis for bad management was put.

Shahinyan stressed that by getting familiarized with the presented team of the parties it is possible to understand whether they can implement the presented program or not.

Referring to the Rule of Law party team Shahinyan rated it high first of all because it is headed by Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsyan, who he said, is the manager who proved with his work that he is a good one.

Shahinyan also stressed that during the campaign they have not done any statement that does not correspond to reality and they never tried to present themselves as opposition for gathering votes.

“People are doing as much as they can. We can do more. We say give us your vote of trust,” he said.

The candidate convinced that the MPs included in the party’s list will not be City Council members and will continue working as MPs.
