Gyumri set for transport reforms

The municipal authorities in Armenia’s second largest city, Gyumri, are planning transport reforms and may launch a new bus route later this year.
Speaking to Tert.am, a spokesperson for the Gyumri City Hall, Zohrab Yeganyan, said they haven’t yet summed up the results of recent projects to finalize future activities.
“One of the companies has submitted a bid for a new bus route, and in case it is declared a winner we, in Gyumri, will have buses similar to those in Yerevan,” he said, adding that the city now operates 12 bus routes.
