Hovannisian Strike Day 5: Supporters vow to put up tent for hunger-striking opposition leader

While the Constitutional Court is viewing the petitions of two former presidential candidates appealing the official election results, another issue has become the focus of attention in the post-election struggle – the denied permission to put out a tent for the opposition leader on hunger strike.

Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian, the official runner-up in the February 18 poll challenging the official results, has been on hunger strike for five days now and his supporters have been trying to get permission to put out a tent in the Liberty Square, but police reject the request.
